Obi Agwam summarizes his emotional experiences and stories through his indistinct characters. Obi Agwam works are Inspired by animation and its dark history. His works can be defined as surrealism, where the main topic is his identity and emotional state. He pays respect to the medium with every artwork. Each pieces starts as a journal entry, serving as a visual summary for each writing. Exaggerated features, large smiles, grills, paired with flowers and sometimes stars create a new world where these characters inhabit.

Obi received his BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2022.
